This incoming month, we will fly Flying Boats to Milwaukee (awful name).

4 things -

We have a large choice of landing grounds
[*]Scrape down the runway at Mitchell Intl
[*]Splash down in Milwaukee bay -- taxi to the coast
[*]Splash down in the mouth of the KinnicKinnic River
[*]Touchdown in Mud Lake, in Großschmidt Park
[*]Use any of the lakes in the parks
[*]Land in Muskego Lake

Which? :)

We have an interesting variety of aircraft
Present in FlightGear are:
very many
Only 8 choices presented here... many others... I think someone is making an aircraft too!
[*]Boeing 314
[*]Catalina
[*]Short Empire
[*]Grumman Goose (amphib)
[*]Grumman Albatros
[*]Dornier Do X
[*]H4 Hercules
[*]Dornier Superwal

I am only counting those with a hull -- not float aircraft

I don't know, but I am considering the Do X.

Whatever the chosen landingground, a suitable area should be marked in buoys and TERRASYNCed.

At 450 miles or so, this will take about 4 hours

rofl
If it swims, its a duck!~

Think C172p, or dhc6 for examples of other options

And speaking of someone making a plane. I already created the 3d model.
JW has been fighting to make it fly:

Ahhhhh -- consider this a sigh of relief.
My figure was from the wiki.
I have a little leaning towards doing a little work on the Supermarine S6B... but then the DHC6 is nice. Buuuuut....

Would she have a cockpit? (BV138)

And, wow, that is a monster all right.

Also the legend says that HerbyW made a Beriev200 Altair, which never saw the light of day
If you convince him to let us use it, then that's other option

Excellent!
In that case....
But there is so much work!
I will look for a livery to make for the Seedrache to start.

God save the queen:
"The older "The Captive Luftwaffe" by Kenneth West [Putnam, 1978] says that they had black upper and side surfaces, dark blue wing undersurfaces with small RAF roundels on the tail booms and under the wings." -- captured BV138 livery?
