Not questioning your plane Josh.
Nor if the FDM on it is realistic or not.
[if you read more of my posts above you'll notice I still regret not having a chance to test it lately, so I cant even make a call on it]
I am talking more about the realism of an experience a flight simulator can provide.
Let me give you an example. When you fly in real life non simulated cockpit, you get physical feedback. Stuff that you feel with your internal ear. That real experience hardwires to the way a pilot reacts to the controls. Not only eyes on the instrument. Its an anatomical experience.
The perfect FG plane, the most realistic (be yours or others, I dont call it)..... can very well still give a very unrealistic experience... Right?
Another example is the visuals, give lets say we are going to Samos. You may have missed the important role of the visual cues in landing there. One chart even mentions a white roof house that one will attempt to target at 400 ft, just before the runway end. That house is not there modelled in FG. So off course, there is a limitant on how realistic the experience is, a limitant into how those real visual cues used in realistic VFR approaches we are going to be missing nonetheless.
The perfect FG plane, the most realistic (be yours or others, I don't call it)...... can very well still give a very unrealistic experience... Right?
PS: In fact my posting there was actually a follow up to the idea that you are going to be flying in RL. you said.
