I really want to make the stop in Juneau... that'll be lovely, and novel (as oppose to use Anchorage Intl. again)
My concern is that it may be a rather short runway and may give us some issues on landing and taking off comfortably.
Let me know your opinions guys!
Who in their right minds decides that flying from a tropical paradise to a dangerous, snow storm lashed Alaskan City's airport surrounded by steep mountains is a good vacation decision?
Well, other than the possibility of Coconut Crabs, endemic to the Marianas, that are rarely known to drop coconuts down upon the unwary pedestrian's heads, I suppose being conked on the head with a coconut is better than having a 60#+ terrestrial crustacean do a drop bear routine on your sorry ass, as these large creatures are known to perform because it gets them out of the coconut palms fast.
Either way you're gonna need a lime and coconut in the morning.
Better to stay in the Mariana's and enjoy the weather while exercising a prudent amount of caution about Coconut Crabs, you could always boil one up and have a neighborhood crab feed and reduce the danger these critters represent.
