Hi It0uchpods,

Well, that is excellent news. What is better than RL flying? Enjoy!

Kind regards, Vincent

Okay, I just had to try it. 767-workshop in Samos. The runway is long enough and wide enough, the plane can do it ... on the pilot, we have to work a little more!

That is a very interesting point. How to compare realism when we sit on a static office chair, with an input device without (realistic) feedback? Really hard to judge the fdm realism.

But i think most people judge realism by: Does the plane look good? Do the systems work? Not bothering about the fdm.

Well, I can tell you the A320 FDM (and all others developed by IDG) are very realistic (we did notice an error in it today, and we are working to fix it). So I do think that is important. Systemswise most of the stuff is done, the mcdu is getting the most attention now. The cockpit model could have some improvements ie: like a door and storage area etc... (the front looks good, but once you turn around there is just a wall). All in all this makes the plane flyable on VATSIM, also thanks to FG not crashing, ie: it is very stable.

Thank you! I will.

Well, for one, the IDG-A32X FDM is closely modeled after the charts... but I found why it was not flying quite right.... there was an offset I didn't know about with the fucking 3D, and VRP. That somewhat screwed it over. I'm working on a completely overhauled version now. No, it's not perfect, but it's one of the better airliner FDMs in FlightGear. (Except Stall characteristics that I haven't even started working on yet).

If the A320 FDM felt odd, that may have been the FlyByWire... which has never been modelled before properly in FlightGear airliners, so therefore you may not have noticed.

If you think you are so good with FDMs, then GO MAKE ME AN A320 FDM!!!!! I don't have time to listen to complaining. If you don't like my work, don't use my planes. No-one is holding a gun to your head @KL666 @IAHM-COL

Kind Regards,
Josh

Wow, wow, wow, Do not take everything as if it is about your planes. What has been said is that many people take a certain stance. Not that your planes are bad.

Well, i do not use Scarebusses. Not because i do not like your work. I believe you are the most likely person to make a realistic Scarebus. But i lost confidence in Die By Wire after so many deaths by that system.

Kind regards, Vincent

OK, sorry, I assumed you meant my planes, as it was talked about multiple times, and then this:

And BTW: 777's are also "Death By Wire"

Errr, Asiana pilot at ksfo tries to kill everyone on board. 777 says no. Emirates pilot at home town tries to kill everyone on board. 777 says no. It is really hard to kill anyone on an unwilling 777.

Air France A330 tries to kill everyone on board. Success. AirAsia A320 tries to kill everyone on board. Success.

Make your own choice of what you fly, i would say.

Kind regards, Vincent

It wouldn't have happened if it was an airbus. ;)
And obviously a plane at cruise would definitely have a lot more energy to dissipate than one on approach.
