@SHM, I already sunk $60.00 into X-Plane. I am NOT going to FSX/P3D, because A) I am on a Mac B) I don't need or want a windows. X-Plane good enough for me.

Okay, I don't know how that works in Mac, but in Ubuntu, I have a list of all joysticks and programs that can use joysticks pull that list, set their own definitions for them (like the joystick file in FG). So, you move the joystick and every program listening for joystick action gets the same information. If I fly on two FG instances, both planes turn for example right.
My way out of this is to disable the joystick on one instance or in our case program. Now, I don't know how to do it in FSX, but in FG, you can try to set up a joysticks.xml without any entry. I haven't tried it yet, but it would be worth the experiment.

Lets try to stay on topic guys...

Debating on sims won't solve Falcon's issue!

Well, if his joystick stopped working, it sounds like a driver issue. Have you confirmed it's working in anything else, such as like a setup dialogue? Are you sure that FG is looking for that joystick specifically? Have you tried reinstalling/updating the driver?

I can try to rebuild the kext cache for you Falcon, that will basically refresh OS X's cache of the install drivers.

Come on it0uchpods Network TeamSpeak at 1900UTC, and I can help you.
