Upgrading...

I currently have 2016.1 on this computer. (my old one had 3.4)

When 2016.1 came out a few months back, I had my old computer, but I didn't want to go to the hassle of downloading FG again. Now 2016.2 is out, and one, I want my sound packs to be compatible with the latest versions of FG and its aircraft, and two I want the new version (doesn't everyone?)

Is there a way to upgrade FlightGear without
1) Copying the aircraft somewhere
2) Waiting an hour for that to finish
3) Downloading the installer
4) Waiting one hour
5) Running the installer
6) Waiting another 3 hours for that to finish

Like some sort of upgrader / patcher?

If not the installer for 2016.2 is already downloading.

I use FGDATA next with submodules to keep my aircraft collection.
It works awesome.

Would you mind linking me to a tutorial for how to set this up?

(or possibly posting one here)
