Hello,

ok, well, fact is i don't have time at the moment to dive into TerraGear, so will made all needed on "surface"

My other project is very time consuming

Image

All is home made (no commercial interface, no sim commercial part), heart of the system is a raspberry PI 2, with some I2C device (port extender & led / display manager).

Software is written in python

I ll try to make a video soon

Did you not get the FCU set up yet? I remember you showed us a picture of an FCU panel that you had bought.

Or maybe my memory is at fault.

Very nice!

@Lego,

i bought the faceplate, and actually not installed,
But yes the FCU is set up. i am working on rotary encoder, i can manage each seperatly, but i need to take care of them now in the principale loop. And that probably will need some multi threading.

Engine startup can be made totally from the panel.
Faceplate is still waiting to be install, & theese panel are not in final version. PCB creation is in progress too

This is the last POC i made theese last week ,

I have some bounce trouble with Korry like (push btn), but globally it's working

@it0uchpods
My plan is to made an inteface wich could be connected to any plane (properties, out, in .. etc ... are defined in config file)
I am using FG Generic protocol

And the price ... hum, very low regarding of what u can have on sim shop

Electronic is made by

1 raspberry
2 I/O card (MCP23017) from https://www.abelectronics.co.uk/ (if pub is forbiden, delete)
2 Display manager (Breakout HT16K33 from Adafruit.com)

All other part are just cables, switch , led and 7 segments display, switch, push btn , rotary switch & encoder

that's quite impressive. (the homemade simulator)

I've seen a few other FGers do things like that before.

If there's need to do terragear on a few airports, I can do. But digging as you mentioned above: not really. Don't know the details of howto you would even approach making an small ditch.

I believe editing the .btg in Blender is possible. Problem is finding out how.
