Yeah I understood that but you know, here in Italy it's different.. I mean it's a thing you do at the 4th year out of 5, not before (when you're studying the subject).

I'm going to aim for commercial flying the A320, or if I'm lucky, MD-11!

Im thinking of flying the P3 orion or 757 in the AF before hopefully flying 789's with ANZ

Is pilot education (or how to call it?) as expensive in the US as in Germany? And are there at all many MD-11s still flying around?

Dont see why its done like that.
Anatomy forms the base.
Here, first year you study how a normal body would be like and then on the various illness.

Because in Italy it's all in reverse, and students aren't quite happy about it. There are so many things the wrong way... but never mind, there are "more important things" that have to be accomplished.
