If we're going to include Malaysia I will ATC for KLIA (WMKK)

Yeah! Peninsular Malaysia is within the range. Insular Malaysia is not.
Therefore, Kuala Lumpur (WMKK) is a really nice position. It'll be great to have you there :D

IH-COL reports his position for the Festival of FlightGear SEASia 2017!!

Hi All

It was not an easy decision.
In reality, I flirted with several of the options in this marvelous land of South East Asia.

After balancing things that matters to me the most, including:
1) a great airport for FGers to visit
2) an aiport currently underdeveloped or Poorly developed (so I can build a new scenery package for the festival)
3) Natural beauty surrounding the approaches

I decided!! :D

IH-COL will control Radar for Phuket, VTSP --- Thailand

The 2nd International Airport of Thailand, by deplanements, after Bangkok's Suba, a major tourist hub. Amazing shores, incredible geological formations. True expression of paradise!!

This airport has a really nice new terminal and buildings that are waiting to be developed for FlightGear :D

(I'll open an scenery thread and invite my fellow developers to join me in developing paradise!!)

Also it offer phenomenal view on landing from either Rwy

And the terraGIT v2.3 scenery is updated with a very complete apt.dat

Looking forward to Serve you as Radar control in Phuket, next year's May! :D

@oscar... Cool

Try coordinating with MD GRK a dual position in Kuala Lumpur? Like ground + center?

Sure Catalanoic. It will be great if you join me developing Phuket, but I am going to make an obvious early disclosure:

The scenery I am going to make for VTSP is not to upload to terrasync, nor I would spend a second making it terrasync friendly. It will be available as an FGMEMBERS-SCENERY custom package and in terraGIT --this is enough for me.
I wont authorize you or anyone other to upload them "under their authorship" as you've done with several buildings in terrasync (like EGOD work, which is listed as your authorship in terrasync's database, but I know that is not true, and I suspect that to be in violation of copyright under the GPL letter, by presumption of lack of author recognition).

If you are OK with that, I look forward to work with you, whom I consider one of the most talented FG developers for FG scenery around.
Otherwise, with this early disclaimer, I would understand if you preffer to work many other places possible around, and just as you've done with Edinburgh, just leave the sceneries off the grid.

I am creating, off course, a dedicated Phuket thread :D
