Great - are you OK with an airspace of 30 NM around the airport?

Updates:

ATC411 is now: Toyko East Center, and Haneda APP/DEP. 80Mi to the west of Haneda planes go to Tokyo West Center (ElGaton). We reach this agreement via Mumble.

That makes no sense whatsoever regarding the FIR maps.

As you can see, there are only the following centers for Japan:

  • Tokyo
  • Sapporo
  • Fukuoka
  • Naha

We all know, elgaton IS Tokyo center, and due to historical involvement, I indicate elgaton will remain in that central position. In addition he will be at CHUBU so he can control the area better.

So, ATC411 - negative. You cant' be Tokyo center.
Go back to the plan table. I suggest you go down 1 level and consider yourself, at most, an Approach controller.

I know there's only one Tokyo Center controller, however, keep in mind that the multiplayer servers only have a 100 NM range. From Chubu, I can't control further than 40-50 NM from Narita (on the east) and 20 NM west of RJBB. Maybe we could both act as Tokyo Control on separate frequencies (as it's done in real life, see the bottom of the second enroute chart)?

If you agree to coordinate a second Tokyo Center, and you guys establish limits of control, I have no problem.
You are center and I am tower ;)

Yes that sounds perfect, Ill probably hand off departures to you earlier than that like they do in real life.

And when aircraft are approaching RJGG tell them to contact Nagoya app when the are 30 miles out. Then ill vector them in and hand them off to ATCJay on tower.

@Israel

yes, in real life, there are multiple controllers per center, that is what elgaton and I have worked out, to correct the 100nm problem.

Me too. I tried to hand them over as soon as I could once they got off my established traffic patterns. :)

This practice session was just awesome. Thanks everyone involved. I noticed the wind pattern changed in just 2 hours dramatically. it went from headwind 06, to crosswind to 06, to headwind 24, back to headwind on 06, in less than 1 hr.

I was dumbfounded!!

@AIC, coordinate with elgaton. I am happy to get the more realistic center treatment we can offer.

Excited about the festival,
