Welcome KL666!
Hi All,
Skyboat has been promoted to Administrator rank in the Free Flight, Free Speech forum. Skyboat excelled at Global Moderator in the first year of our board. A job that he made seem easy!
Well; it surely it is an interesting position. Whereas in Other forums in this community the Moderators are judges and their job is to keep an established peace, in this forum the position requires more tact and more impartiality, and certainly more patience. A global moderator of this forum is there to guarantee that everyone has equal rights under the "law": any person can have any idea or even any position on any given issue, and present it and deffend it: be it a new aircraft, some nasal code, and a new scenery repository management (terraGIT).
Ideas are not censored here.
Also, the Global moderator here assures that everyone Freedom of Speech is maintained. If your truth is an inconvenient Truth, and either we or the Official core group is unwilling to hear it, does not mean that you are not equally deserving of express it, as those speaking a more convenient truth. In fact those that step in the shoes of a critical mind carry more valor that those that step in just to applaud a Job done.
Although many had thought that such idea was risque, and that our forum was the perfect breeding ground for just insane conflict, interestingly, acknowledging that our members are independent thinkers and allowing them to have a posture have come to a very positive environment for a real interchange of ideas without coercion. An we ought Skyboat, and his excellent perfomance as Global Moderator that this has become possible.
Skyboat considered that KL-666 was the ideal candidate to follow his steps on his position: and after asking him about this, and explaining him how we manage the forum and the philosophy of respect for the difference that we hold dear, KL-666 finally agreed to step in to the position of Global Moderators.
We thank and Welcome KL-666 for this decision and we are happy to know that a critical mind joined the team, so we can guarantee a continuation on the philosophy of this board.
