(almost sure after listening the performance this is the instrument he was actually thinking off... and that's why some of the musical note durations are too short for real human dexterity)

I like this, but it's unfortunate that they aren't also writing and reading data as analog musical tones, as it would give it a better sound.

I used to play an 8 track tape player/recorder in an experimental band many ages ago. I was sampling and replaying sounds at different speeds on the fly. It was really fun when coupled with an Echoplex or digital delay and reverb box.

This is awesome..
