Well, given the server problems and all the other troubles, TerraSync could well reach the end of its life, but that doesn't mean TerraGIT has. A new on the fly terrain loading system could be set up on TerraGIT and work far many years to come, especially, if it is developed further over time since the restrictions we got as of yet from the TerraSync crew are obsolete if TerraSync dies.

"Are you of the opinion that Terrasync is reaching its end of life?" No, but need some modifications to be OSM compatible.

OK. I was just wondering why you thought that the fact that we've got 2 scenery repositories for the World, terrasync and terraGIT was a temporal situation. The way I see it, those two are here to stay long.

And you confirm that you have a similar thought.

Looking forward to that Catalanoic :D

IF you wish, feel free to join in Edinburgh too,
I like group work and collaborators.

But if you want to get some other airports up and going that's awesome too

Thanks Richard!
That sounds great. And I take you on your offer.

So here it is:

When Edinburgh is finished

That never happens. There is not 1 single development for FG (nor core, nor Airport, not Airplane, nor addon) that is finished
For that reason, I don't target "finish", but some degree of "development".

I like the adaggio

Release Early, Release Often
It works really great in OpenSource, and it facilitates collaborators to get engaged and participant in development.

Thus, even thou Edinburg Airport is not finish, and never will be, you can considered already released, and we accept early beta tester and developers that want to join (any type of scenery development will be welcomed)

with a set of release files that could go into a zipfile (or into its own repository)

Oh,
Not a problem

1. The development repository is at:
https://github.com/FGMEMBERS-SCENERY/EGPH-fg-CustomScenery
2. The zip file for the HEAD of master is
https://github.com/FGMEMBERS-SCENERY/EGPH-fg-CustomScenery/archive/master.zip
3. The content rebases frequently onto terraGIT

would need a screenshot to illustrate the newly available content

Get it with the FGMEMBERS-SCENERY repo while I come around it.

OSM2City implemented for all Urban area of Edinburgh

Hi All,

The City of Edinburgh has been added in the development repository, using the OSM2City output.
This output --like the one in Geneve-- is heavily optimized to low performance computers and it has a minimum frame rate impact, yet it creates really nice and accurate view of the city.
