Still one to go:

If we gave everybody in the World free software today, but we failed to teach them about the four freedoms, five years from now, would they still have it?

Okay, I'll upload that.
Sure!

I just did the M-aprons... probably one or two missing models. I have the P3000 models in my FGDATA, so I can't pick them up.
Thanks a lot :)

It's a bit annoying and unrealistic at times.

That's indeed what I meant, for the following reasons:
  • dynamic/AI aircraft can be disabled at user choice;
  • they won't conflict with the player's plane - if (s)he launches FG at a specified stand, (s)he will be sure there won't be any AI aircraft in the way.

@IAHM-COL: no work is being done with respect to making the AI controllable by an ATC. (In fact, as you noted, AI is best left disabled on multiplayer events, because the AI traffic seen by a player is, generally speaking, different from that seen by another one). So far, the AI system was slightly refactored and several ground networks are being worked on. Furthermore, I think it was proposed to improve the built-in ATC (the one you invoke by pressing ') - it won't be made controllable over the multiplayer network, however, for the reasons you mentioned.

:) OK
I understand you better now (sign of relief too :) )

In any case, your suggestion of groundnet and traffic files is very valid

I started to use WED to place some jetways at T1. Of course I like to make them fit to parked aircraft.
I suggest to move all parking spots 30m closer to the building - that's how Litjan does it, who makes most of the layouts. So I see his airports as some kind of de-facto standard / best practice.
My converter script to ICAO.groundnet.xml (dsf2stg.py) is moving them back again approx. 16 meters and I don't want to set a individual offset for every airport.

I will do some RJBB jetway testing today.

btw:
I don't like how the front of my Terminal 1 building is not a straight line along the service road, but I don't know how to fix that without messing up the roof.

Good!
My Gatwick... uh, how do I know where to put the parking position in WED?
If I put it at the end, it will be too close to the building.

put it where the 777 has its nose wheel
look at KATL, KLAX and OMDB as examples.

How about fixing the road in wed, instead of the model in blender?

That could be done concomitantly with displacing the parkpos.

Did you guys see the new model for the skybridge?

Yep, I did, if you mean the bridge to the mainland. It looks very dark, but very nice.
Okay, then, I assume every aircraft should work then, if I put the parking position right on top of the 'stop bar'.
