Something that was bound to happen some day, with all those reckless tourists.

If i were the authorities down there, i would erect a secondary fence between the road and the beach. And make that stretch of road strictly forbidden for pedestrians and halting any vehicle. Pedestrians will have to walk the beach if they wish to pass there.
