More MD-10

Postby Octal450 » Sat Aug 06, 2016 5:57 pm

So I updated the MD-10-Family with the latest efforts to the MD-11 by tikibar and I.

So first the MD-10P and F built to spec

And the ACF by Skyboat and I. That AP panel is temporary until I can put the old one in as Skyboat wanted

Ailerons droop now with flap 15 only.

And Spoilerons!

BEWARE!: first notch of slats is now slats only, then flaps 15 and so on. This is as per the real one.

All these can be manually started with a somewhat realistic procedure. The ACF is missing the engine start knobs though, we will add them soon.

Hydraulics also there! controllable by overhead.

Well, there are more MD-10 topics (viewtopic.php?f=15&t=372 , viewtopic.php?f=15&t=322&start=10 and this one) than MD-10 versions themselves! In which should the discussion continue?

I've done some KC-10M updates recently improving engine thrust and implementing AAR, which can be found in my GitHub: https://github.com/JMaverick16/MD-10

As many of you know, my next project after the KCs (and some minor fixes to the CC-150T) will be the KC-10. What is in here is already a good start and I can't wait to deal with it.

Cockpit shots are really rare and old, but this is what it looks like IRL:

I hope we'll be able to make it look like this one, starting from the current MD-11 cockpit which features a better interior than the basic DC-10 version.

Have you seen the cockpit it uses right now?

Yes, it's more or less the MD-11's.

I noticed that tiller/ground steering is inoperative (flight controls work great however). Is this on my FG setup only or is it still in development?

I'm still learning about aircraft dev, but I can try to learn how to hook that up (I hope) if needed.

JMav: You keep doing this

TELL ME! I don't have tons of time to test, so I don't always catch broken things. If you can't tell me, I can't fix it ;)

@airzona, would you like to join our Dev Slack? It's a great way to communicate with other devs, learn coding, ask questions etc.
