OK UPDATE TIME:

http://prntscr.com/exoosj

The new WL/PSAS Control dialog
WING LVL engages the WING LVL system
CWS is active all the time, providing PITCH augmentation, but it's much much improved, and flies alot more natural. You'll never realize it's on until you hear it trimming for you ;)
Activating MAN PITCH mode will disable this system and give manual Elevator back to the pilot, this will illuminate the MASTER CAUTION light, as and Pitch Degree Pitch Rate protection, and stability augmentation is no longer available.(edited)
Now that I've modelled the engine parameters correctly, without stability augmentation, the pitch can be difficult, especially during approach, when winds are acting up.
It's been active for a while, but less noticable.
Now it's full authority, and very smooth.
I've flown many ILS and Visual approaches now, and it still feels very natural :)
This is the most advanced 707 in the world.
On approach to the default 2017.1.2 airport manual approach, with PSAS on, following the ITAF FD on the HUD :)

One trick: Do not chase the FD, smoothly try to follow it, but don't chase it. Due to the nature of PID-Controllers they will expect perfection and drift to nudge you to adjust.

The next autopilot build will feature the option to go into FLARE mode even if the AP is off -- this will be on the KCs, and will guide your through the flare if that's more your style :)
I'm very excited about this new technology, and I can't wait to show it off to you very soon!

FAQ:
Q: PSAS is crashing my plane!!!!
A: Open Leveller/Pitch Stab settings from KC-137R menu, push MAN PITCH

Now note your IAS, attitude, altitude, flap setting
Now go DEBUG --> Property Browser
go to it-fbw and tell me the value of pitch-deg
Otherwise, I can't debug and fix the issue
This system is built as a deritive of IT-FBW system which has just revamped, so I can say it works 99% of the time

Kind Regards,
Josh

Yep, actually we've been working a bit less on them recently due to Josh spending a lot of time on the A320s and me being rather busy recently both IRL and with other stuff.
But it's proceeding fine, yesterday we've fixed a few bugs and added a digital screen which shows more info regarding the TACAN navigation. Plus, Martien is working on upgrading the engine models, yesterday I've pushed a first part of his work which includes some exterior improvements to the CFM56. Again about engines, we've changed both IAE and CFM variants to less powerful ones due to it's incredible performance (gone a bit unrealistic) recently due to the stabilization system Josh added in full authority giving the plane a better flight experience. This lead us also to improve sound quality which now is closer to RL engines.
Still many things to do but we're good to go ;) .
More to come...
