These I used to build the 3d models of the rotors and the tail work

I might have. I just dont know what you mean.
Like that she flies backwards? or What exactly?

Rotors are exact size as shown in there. My blender environment had been scaled so the image you see in the background is size 1:1 to the 35ft scale bar shown.

Instead, what is not correctly sized was the AH-1 model, but I decided not to mess with it, cause I dont' want to alter origin points of the model or sort of that stuff that creates the need to update xml files in order to fix the axis correctly. So the Ah-1 is a bit long and thin

I'd not flown her since I put a couple of new fuel tank on her..... all to do with the engine sizes..
But it seems I cocked up...

Look at her GoG.... shocking !
I should have checked.

No way

See a 5.50m ruler overlay on the model. Ain't gonna happen.

bomber wrote:well that don't make no sense as 2 * 5.49 = 10.98 meters wide, a lot less than the 8.73m, and that doesn't include any gap between them.

a bit more?

If a diameter of the prop is any use for your FDM calculators, this is a ruler on top of a prop,
it is approx. 3.615 m diam.

Oh I'm not saying your model is wrong... just that what they've written and what they've drawn don't tally.

update 3...

I think we're getting there now
Some very subtle changes... increased stability in normal flight at higher alts and speed through use of variable rotor rmp p damping.. no change for hover flight, so watch it.
A WEP of 120% increase in rotor rpm's...(e key toggle) I've not tested it and I think it needs some indication in the HUD doing.

You should now have a ceiling of +10kft at 100%, but you will need to manage your Capacitor levels through judicious step climbing...

Acceleration is starting to feel like the beast it should be.

Oh just tested the WEP... don't use it... it puts the rotors tips above 0.85mach and as such sucks power from the capacitors.... unusable in it's present state.

I think rpm's will end up being at 1500 and 1800 for WEP... which means she's flying WEP now, so some adjustment will be needed in the coming days and that should be the last fdm update (fingers crossed)
