Re: Critical angle of attack
The conventional way of modelling flight is by using a table that determines the planes coefficient of lift and drag according to its present AoA which is based on its W and U velocities. (You know all this I'm sure) The conventional is indeed to use a set of tables, and is often called the coeffic...

Check the code in concorde.xml <nasal> sections - this is the model loader reporting the filename of the model that is being loaded rather than the xml.

Re: What/Where did you fly today? (Universal Edition)
@Richard That's not true, you can have academic since you are "learning" about aviation. My reading of the EULA is that isn't true; certainly I'm not eligible - you are because you're a student (but not if you're using it for entertainment.) It's their rules[1] and we have to agree with t...

Re: What/Where did you fly today? (Universal Edition)
Now, let's all switch to x-plane (or P3D) , and do exactly the same as we do now :-) You won't be disappointed :) You might not be disappointed, but I suspect you might end up financially disappointed. Do you know roughly how many $$$ you need to spend to get P3D that is not to be disappointed with...

Re: Updating FG
1) Should I Update? I currently run FG off a 3 year old windows 8.1 Laptop with a quad-core i7 CPU and 8gb RAM Yes you should update; however I'd recommend a side-by-side install of a newer version (i.e. install into Program Files\Flightgear 2017.2) and don't uninstall the old one. Prior to doing t...

Re: WS2.5 (via Terragit) scenery issues
More issues in the alps.
Maybe I should raise a NOTAM for the Church hazard -)
Shall I continue to report any issues that I find; as it seems clear there is probably something quite wrong with the terrain mesh in this part of the world.

They ve been available for LOOOOONG time before terrasync began implementing. they were available in terraGIT months before terrasync, anyways. 2. terrasync has changed 2ice the way it implements these features and I'm not ...

Re: WS2.5 (via Terragit) scenery issues
My vote down to that info by catalanoic Not sure if that's a good idea; as by this logic I'd have to vote down your answer to his answer because it adds nothing; then you'd vote down my answer, etc. -), and we all know what would happen to the discussion. I'd prefer to keep this on topic; The end p...
