Re: What is free software? by Richard Stallman

There is not anymore a sense of community. GOOD GOD!!! You're the chap who started raing cain with every single developer and moderator who didn't agree, and posted rude and insulting posts all over the forum, and now you're complaining there isn't a sense of community anymore!!!! If that's the cas...

Re: Mig29, beware the Frumious Bandersnatch!

I'm still baffled by the DC-8-73's often weird loss of wing lift when near the start of a runway.

Re: A place for the Belfort flights

So my main concern with releasing the L-11, is that there will be issues with Anders' GPL coding and submodels mixed with the CC license of the FS-WWI art and textures. I'm contacting Anders to make sure that he's OK with a 'fork' in his ship's development.

Re: LZ-129 Hindenburg: In the hangar and showing signs of life.

What wrong with just letting it serenely and majestically sail in the FG skies like it should? This is the biggest airship ever made, and, it makes the Aerodrome at Chaux look rather cramped. The fact I got it working should be of note. When I first loaded it in FG, it would just initialize in one s...

Re: LZ-129 Hindenburg: In the hangar and showing signs of life.

Sorry but it originally was filled with the kaboom gas, so it's staying put. To do otherwise would have to completely rebuild the gas cells, not something I'd want to tackle considering the number of them present.

LZ-129 Hindenburg: In the hangar and showing signs of life.

Since I was able to get the L-11 3D model to work so handily with the Nordstern's systems and FDM, I got really brave and tackled Ander's long neglected LZ-129 Hindenburg. I think I've got it mostly fixed. It's presently suffering from some weird pitch and roll instability when brought up to 70 knot...

Re: Wright-Flyer to YASIM

I do very few things well in Blender, it's mostly on my PC because it's has some useful Pythons that allow for texture U-V unwrapping, a z-face flicker eliminator and conversions of the few weird old 3D formats I work from. It's the interface with the Pythons that make it useful, if I could run the ...

Re: Wright-Flyer to YASIM

Chord or wingspan? The chord of the wright flyer shouldn't be much over 6 feet or about 1.9 something meters. Honestly Lego, you run Windows, and if you want this to be accurate I'd get the AC3D free demo so I could open the model file and work from the dimensions directly. You'ld at least have a vi...

Re: Wright-Flyer to YASIM

It's unfortunate that there isn't a standalone program like Flying Model Simulator had made for it, the FMS Planefield editor, that opens a simple 3d visual window with the .ac model file in it and overlays a graphic grid in meters centered on the point of origin of the 3D model. And yes, the measur...
