Re: nVidia Driver Tweaks for Fligthgear on *nix OS

fgms definitely needs an overhaul. Limited packet size is the biggest immediate issue in my opinion. We have the /sim/multiplayer/generic properties, but we can't use all of them due to packet size. If we broke up that info into multiple packets, or increased packet size, that'd be a huge improvemen...

Re: nVidia Driver Tweaks for Fligthgear on *nix OS

Just a thought.

Instead of forking and really improving fgfs, why not fork and improve fgms?

fgms is much simpler, could use a boatload of improvement, and you can integrate combat much more nicely without touching fgfs code.

Re: KC-137R family project

And coming back to the VOR thing (and sorry for not explaining it well), is there a way to show the co-pilots VOR on the EFIS? Right now it just shows DME, but there's no way to use the radials that I can see. I may be missing it. For instance, in this pic: https://i.imgur.com/iH1pEeJ.png I have VOR...

Re: KC-137R family project

The issue is because not all of your textranslate animations have <bias> tags. It might work fine for you and not someone else due to how floating point precision works.

Re: KC-137R family project

The radios not displaying the correct number is due to a lack of a <bias> tag in the instrument's xml file. I added a <bias>0.0005</bias> and it worked like a charm. e: also the min/max's for the radio.freq.knob are wrong. You have <step>-0.025</step> <min>000</min> <max>975</max> <wrap>true</wrap> ...

Re: Saitek equipment.

Dredging up an old topic, but meh. Upgraded mouse to a Corsair M65 Pro RGB ($55), and keyboard to Corsair Strafe($80). I love both of them, seriously. The Strafe is mechanical (MX Cherry Reds), and has 100% no ghosting whatsoever, which is crazy nice. If you can spare the money, it's a great keyboar...

Re: KC-137R family project

Bug reports? When you change the nav radio to a frequency ending in .000, the first bit is off. For instance, tuning to the MWH VOR with freq 115.000, the screen will display 114.000. The radial knob range, while initially showing 000, can only be turned down to 001 after messing with it. Additional...

That's 1300nm as the crow flies, for an example.

England was ~300nm, Japan was ~600nm iirc.
