FlightGear Developers Wanted

IDG needs aircraft developers! It0uchpods and I are putting out the call for developers to join the it0uchpods Design Group development team. We are in the process of developing two aircraft lines (passenger jetliners only, currently) to the “Study Level.” Aircraft at this advanced level are as clo...

Lead D-Day C-47 "That's All Brother" Found and Being Restored

Sometimes we get lucky and a plane that has been missing for decades is found and actually able to be restored to fly. Below is a link to the New York Times article of the discovery and acquisition of the C-47 that led the Allied air assault on D-Day, June 6, 1944. Named, "That's All Brother,&q...

Re: Testing the waters, London Zeppelin raid. 01/20/18 ; 17:00 UTC

Hi guys-- Sorry I wasn't there to share in the fun, but I did enjoy watching my nephew's gymnastic competition. Playing Uncle David is always a good time.

How did it go? I enjoyed the numerous screenshots, but a bit of narrative on who was there and what transpired would be nice to know.

Re: Testing the waters, London Zeppelin raid. 01/20/18 ; 17:00 UTC

Sometimes Real Life Gets in the Way... I will miss at least part of the Raid. I got a note from my sister that my nephew, Jonathan, age 10, will be participating in a gymnastics meet at the University of Oregon on, you guessed it, the morning of Jan 20. When we talked at Christmas, they weren't sure...

Re: Testing the waters, London Zeppelin raid. 01/20/18 ; 17:00 UTC

@Lester-- I think if you could resolve those odd Nasal errors with the A332, it might take care of the problem. The plane should just not be pulling those. I can't think of any reason why this WWI aircraft needs to pull Nasal code from a modern Airbus A332. Doesn't make any sense to me. Happy wet su...

Re: Testing the waters, London Zeppelin raid. 01/20/18 ; 17:00 UTC

@Les: I downloaded the plane from the new link you provided, deleting the older version, first. I'm still getting a lot of Nasal errors, many being pulled from an A332. It doesn't really make sense because I had not yet activated multiplayer. I noticed the altimeter appears fuzzy, then I realized it...

Re: Testing the waters, London Zeppelin raid. 01/20/18 ; 17:00 UTC

@Lester-- My aircraft lacks instruments and flight controls, other than the joystick. I also have no options for liveries. The color of the fuselage is what you described, however. I calibrated my joystick, just to make sure, but to no effect. But I found several problems, so read-on. In looking thr...

Re: Testing the waters, London Zeppelin raid. 01/20/18 ; 17:00 UTC

@Lester-- I think you nailed it! I was flying with the white livery, not the one you described for the BE12. I'll do a test flight with the correct livery/aircraft and see what difference it makes. BTW, F14Tom and I (in the AVRO 504-D) were having a little fun over the English countryside. The fact ...
